Yes Lord

Nov 9, 2021

In the last day the world will be judged by Jesus and that includes everyone who have confessed that Jesus is their Lord. We will stand before him and Jesus will judged us for the things we have done for him as our Lord.
2 Corinthians 5: 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
Jesus tells what will happen to some who have called him Lord on that day.
Matthew 7: 21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
This is very important to understand because it is essential for our salvation just as much as believing in God’s grace, you must have faith in Jesus as your Lord.
That is what Paul said in:
Romans 10: 8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
If you have confessed Jesus as your Lord, you are promising to give him your complete obedience in what he teaches and commands us to do. You are his servant; he is not yours. He is your Lord and King. If you obey Jesus as your Lord, you will be known by him and be saved and not perish. Jesus came to show us how to be a servant when he served his disciples while on earth. Now he sits on the judgement seat judging how his servants serve him as their Lord.
I know there are some who think attending church, giving to the church and or doing good works for the church will make them known to God and he will help them get what they want in this world. God did not send his Son so that we can have what we want in this world, the Bible clearly teaches what Jesus came to give us.
John 3: 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus came to give us eternal life and He is looking for those who wants to be with him and his Father forever. Those who are faithful to Jesus as their Lord are those who love him for dying for their sins giving them a heart that desires to obey him so that they can be with God forever.
If God has given you a taste of eternal life believing that in heaven there will be no more pain, no more tears and no more sorrow but just his love forever there must be a change in your life that has made God your ultimate treasure making you continually seek him, by reaching out to him and finding him by making his Son the Lord of your life.
Jesus commands us to put his teachings into practice and through practice your mind will become like his and he will see you as his good and faithful servant and will usher you into his Father’s kingdom.
2 Corinthians 5: 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.
Be safe in Jesus
